At the Homeless Alliance, we believe that everyone — no matter their age or background — has something to contribute to the conversation around homelessness. That’s why we've launched two ways for young people to get involved in advocacy, education, and community engagement right here in Oklahoma City.

Teen Service Board
Open to high school juniors and seniors in OKC, this board offers students the chance to explore real-world issues, engage in meaningful service, and gain valuable leadership experience — all while learning about housing, equity, and the systems that impact our city.

TSB members take part in hands-on volunteer projects, educational discussion, and advocacy efforts focused on addressing homelessness in central Oklahoma. Members gain valuable insight into nonprofit work while building leadership skills and earning service hours.

This program runs from September 2026 to April 2027 and includes six meetings at the Homeless Alliance WestTown Resource Center. TSB applications are currently open and due August 26. Click here to apply. Parent/guardian consent forms will be sent out with offers for participation to selected applicants.

Young Professionals Board
Designed for individuals ages 25–38, this board offers the opportunity to deepen civic involvement while supporting a cause that matters, building leadership experience, and connecting with others who are passionate about community impact.

YPB members take part in hands-on volunteer projects, along with developing and executing fundraising activities and advocacy efforts focused on addressing homelessness.

YPB members will contribute to our mission through service projects, fundraising efforts, and advocacy. YPB applications are currently open and due August 26. Click here to apply.
